By joining the Gender-Free ID Coalition I/we agree that:

• Gender is
  • A matter of gender identity, not genitalia.
  • Unknowable at birth.
  • A personal matter, like sexual orientation or racial identity or religion.
• It is discriminatory for the state to require its citizens to carry documents that include a gender or sex marker
• It is discriminatory for the state to maintain gendered data unless it can demonstrate a specific justification
• Gendered identity documents have the inescapable consequence of discriminating against anyone who is not cisgendered or cissexual, as well as gender non-conforming cisgender people.
